Neverseen Review

Neverseen is by Shannon Messenger as the fourth book in the Keeper of the Lost Cities series. It's juvenile fantasy.

Neverseen (Keeper of the Lost Cities, #4)"Her closest friends from the Lost Cities have gone with her to join the Black Swan. They still have doubts about the shadowy organization, but the only way to find answers is to start working with them. And as they settle into their new lives, they uncover secrets far bigger than anything they’d imagined.

But their enemies are far from done, and unleash a terrifying plague that threatens the safety of an entire species. Sophie and her friends fight with everything they have—with new allies joining them—but every choice has consequences. And trusting the wrong person could prove deadly.
In this game-changing fourth book in the Keeper of the Lost Cities series, Sophie must question everything to find a truth that will either save her world—or shatter it."~Goodreads

Messenger is such an excellent writer. From the made up names, the world, and aspects, nothing is left out and it's all unique. I love how the characters manage to find funny things in all the seriousness. Dex and Keefe are the most hilarious in the group. And for it being a middle-grade book, sometimes it can be deep.

The characters have the cutest friendship ever. Can I have friends like them? Because this is one of my favorite sets in all the books ever. Chapter 33 was my favorite because it had some great friendship moments. Even though some of them have crushes I really appreciate how it's hardly brought up (this girl likes breaks from romance). But seriously, it's so hard to decide on ships! I really admire how Sophie wants to change her world and even though  it might not be part of the big plan she's still going to do it.

There was hardly a dull moment. In some books there's the times you just want to skip through. There might've been a few, but even then something important was happening. The action and adventure is just so intense. Just by looking at the next book's cover I can tell it's going to be action packed.

Disappointment: I get to wait a month for the next book to release and then for the library to get it. Ugh! Especially since the ending left me hanging. It's good and bad at the same time if that's even possible. It's official that this series is addicting.

"You guys are clearly forgetting how awesome I am!"
"No matter how hard it gets. Or how hopeless it feels. Never, ever give up."
